AGGREGATE
STONE DRIVEWAY

Aggregate Stone Driveway Rust
Stain Removal Service.
The decorative process of exposing aggregate has been around since the
early 1900s, well before pattern stamping, stenciling, and decorative overlays
became trendy. But this method is far from being ready for retirement. An
exposed-aggregate finish offers numerous advantages.
And many of today’s contractors are finding creative ways to take exposed
aggregate to a new level by combining it with other decorative treatments. But,
there are problems with an aggregate stone driveway.
From time to time,
what appear to be tiny rust stains finally become highly visible from the
coarser angular stone that is found in the aggregate. The general assumption is;
that the rust stains come from what we understand to be ironstone. You ask; is
there a way of cleaning up this problem? The answer is yes, in a very high
percentage of our projects.
In many cases, the rust staining
is from pyrite in the aggregate. You can remove most rust stains with our
special chemical product and labor process. Ironstone (which is ochre
rather than pyrite) is very common in most areas.
Some forms of rust stains in an

proven service to eliminate the rust stains from your aggregate stone driveway.
By using different kinds of chemical formulations and labor processes, simple to
difficult rust stain situations can be eliminated. We must first test the

Epoxy aggregate flooring consists of a tumbled
aggregate or crushed marble stone mixed in a clear specially formulated 100%
epoxy resin. Color is achieved by the selection of stone, which comes in a large
variety of colors from Cape Verde Green to Cima Rose to Raven Black. The
contents are combined in a rotating cement mixer and mixed until all stone is
completely coated with a liberal amount of epoxy. The mixture is then poured in
place and expertly hand troweled onto the floor’s surface. A final top coat of
epoxy will give the floor years of shine. The finished product is a beautiful,
truly unique, virtually maintenance free floor.
Unlike ceramic tile, the epoxy aggregate is a seamless floor so there are no
stained grout joints or cracked tiles to contend with. With proper maintenance
you will not experience a traffic wear pattern like you may find with carpet.
There are no rips that are unable to be repaired and no discoloration as with
linoleum. And certainly, there will be no scratches to try to hide as so
commonly found with wood flooring. No matter which flooring the epoxy aggregate
is compared to, the greatest and most important advantage of all is the fact
that the epoxy aggregate flooring is easy to maintain and will never have to be
replaced.
The epoxy’s strong bond to the substrate plus non shrinking, somewhat elasticity
properties make the product ideal for new construction and remodels alike. In
consideration of new concrete foundation movement, the epoxy aggregate is much
less likely to crack than tile or buckle like vinyl or wood flooring. In the
unlikely event of cracking, the epoxy aggregate can be patched to repair. This
flooring adapts to most elevation requirements in remodeled homes typically
without adjustments being made for flooring height transitions between carpet,
tile, wood, etc. The lightweight of the aggregate flooring enables it to
successfully be used over wood subfloors.
This floor surface is virtually indestructible and can withstand continuous
heavy traffic without wear. The epoxy is chemical resistant to avoid mildew and
odor should flooding or spills occur. This flooring is flameproof and will not
emit toxic fumes in a fire as can occur with other floor coverings. Under normal
circumstances, epoxy aggregate floors will last the lifetime of the structure in
which they are installed. During this period they will be easy and economical to
maintain. They do not require replacement or expensive maintenance or
refurbishment at regular intervals. Thus, under normal use conditions, the life
cycle costs will be lower than other types of flooring.
